Dose rates

Recommended dose: Ivermectin 200 µg/kg bodyweight + Praziquantel 1 mg/kg bodyweight. This corresponds to 1.29 g of paste per 100 kg bodyweight given as a single administration (dose by weight-markings on the syringe plunger). Ensure accurate bodyweight measurement to avoid underdosing.

Withdrawal

Meat and offal: 30 days.

Milk: Do not use in mares producing milk for human consumption.

Contra-indications / Special warnings

Species limitation: Formulated for use in horses and donkeys only. Do not use in other species (e.g. dogs, cats) — ingestion by these species (or access to used syringes) may cause severe adverse effects.

Pregnancy & lactation: Ivermectin–praziquantel can be used after the first three months of gestation and during lactation. In the absence of clinical data for early pregnancy, use in the first three months should be restricted to a veterinarian’s risk/benefit decision.
