Fane Valley Co-Operative Society (‘Fane Valley’) is committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring its privacy. This privacy notice will inform you as to how Fane Valley looks after your personal data when you visit our website (regardless of where you visit it from) including any data you may provide through this website when you sign up to our newsletter, purchase a product or take part in a competition and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

1. Important Information Who We Are

Fane Valley Co-Operative Society (‘Fane Valley’) is made up of different legal entities, Fane Valley Stores Limited, Joseph Morton Limited, Fane Valley Feeds Limited, Whites Speedicook Limited, Hilton Meat Products Limited and Duncrue Food Processors Limited. This privacy notice is issued on behalf of the Fane Valley Group so when we mention "Fane Valley", "we", "us" or "our" in this privacy notice, we are referring to the relevant company in Fane Valley responsible for processing your data. We will let you know which entity will be the controller for your data when you purchase a product with us.

We have appointed a data compliance manager who is responsible for overseeing questions in relation to this privacy notice. If you have any questions about this privacy notice or how we handle your personal information, please contact our data compliance manager, datacompliane.fanevalley.com. You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues.

2. The Data We Collect About You

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. When you use our website, we collect the following types of personal information:

Order Information - Some information is required to place an order for our products on our website, which includes your name, email address, delivery address and contact telephone number (if relevant). You may choose to checkout as: (i) a guest, in which case this information will only be stored for as long as it takes to fulfil your order; or (ii) set up a Fane Valley Website account, this will make it more efficient to make future orders, and in this case, we will store your information in accordance with this policy.If you create a Fane Valley account, we ask you to provide some personal information, including your email address and name (you do not have to use your full name, but you may if you wish). This account will be password protected and you will use your email address to access your account.

Payment Information - If you purchase Fane Valley products on our website, you provide certain payment details. These may include your name and billing address. We do not capture or store this information. Specific payment details are dealt directly with Realex. We only store your shipping address to fulfil your order.

Usage Information - We collect usage data when you use our website. This includes information about your interaction with our website, for example when you view content on our website, create an account or order our products. We also collect cookie information and IP address information, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.

For example, if you contact us or participate in a survey, contest or promotion, we collect the information you submit such as your name, contact information and message, purchases or orders made by you, your interests, and your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences. We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

3. How Is Your Personal Data Collected?

We use different methods to collect data from and about you including through Direct Interactions. You may give us your Identity, and Contact Data by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email or otherwise. This includes personal data you provide when you:

8. Notice In Respect of Children

This website is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We value the protection of children’s privacy and therefore persons under the age of 16 are not permitted to purchase goods from us unless their parent has consented in accordance with applicable law.

If it comes to our attention that we have collected the information of a child under the relevant minimum age without parental consent, we will delete the information as soon as we can. 9. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:

It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal information changes during your working relationship with us.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

In the circumstances where you may have provided your consent to the collection, processing and transfer of your personal information for a specific purpose, for instance to provide you with marketing communication, you have the right to withdraw your consent for that specific processing at any time.
