Cydectin 0.5% Pour On

Cydectin 0.5% Pour-On contains moxidectin, a second-generation macrocyclic lactone of the milbemycin family. It interferes with GABA-mediated neuromuscular transmission in parasites, causing paralysis and death. It is effective against a broad range of internal and external parasites in cattle, including gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, mites, lice, warbles and horn flies. The product provides persistent activity, preventing reinfection by Ostertagia ostertagi for 5 weeks and Dictyocaulus viviparus for 6 weeks.

Dose Rates
Administer 1 ml per 10 kg bodyweight (equivalent to 0.5 mg moxidectin per kg) as a topical pour-on. Apply along the backline from the withers to the tailhead. Single administration.

Withdrawal Periods

Meat and offal: 14 days

Milk: 6 days (144 hours)

Contraindications

Do not use in species other than cattle. Severe adverse reactions, including fatalities, may occur in dogs.

Do not apply to areas of damaged or heavily soiled skin.

Do not underdose, as this may promote resistance development.

Observe milk and meat withdrawal periods strictly.
