Product Description
Dectomax 10 mg/ml solution for injection containing doramectin. Used in cattle, sheep and pigs for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, eyeworms, warbles, lice, mange mites and ticks. In sheep, also effective against Psoroptes ovis (sheep scab) and Nematodirus battus.
Dose rates
Cattle: 1 ml per 50 kg (200 mcg/kg) bodyweight, administered in the region of the neck by subcutaneous injection.
Sheep: 1 ml per 50 kg (200 mcg/kg) bodyweight, administered in the region of the neck by intramuscular injection.
Sheep scab: 1 ml per 33 kg (300 mcg/kg) bodyweight, administered in the neck by intramuscular injection.
Pigs: A single treatment of 1 ml per 33 kg (300 mcg/kg) bodyweight, administered by intramuscular injection.
Withdrawal Cattle meat/offal: 35 days. Sheep/pigs meat/offal: 70 days. Milk: not permitted for animals producing milk for human consumption.
Contraindications
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to doramectin. Not authorised for use in lactating dairy cows producing milk for human consumption. Use correct dosing and injection site hygiene. Treat all in-contact sheep when controlling sheep scab.
