Product Description
Long-acting, ready-to-use pour-on ectoparasiticide for cattle. Active ingredient: deltamethrin (7.5 mg/ml). Indicated for control of biting and nuisance flies (e.g. Haematobia irritans, Hippobosca equina, Stomoxys calcitrans, Musca spp.) and biting and sucking lice (Damalinia bovis, Haematopinus eurysternus, Linognathus vituli).
Dose rates (administration: pour along the topline from head to tail)
Flies (control of biting and nuisance flies):
up to 100 kg: 10 ml
100–300 kg: 20 ml
over 300 kg: 30 ml
Lice (control of biting and sucking lice): 10 ml per animal regardless of bodyweight.
A single application gives protection against flies and against lice for approximately 8–10 weeks (depending on infestation, species and weather).
Withdrawal periods
Meat and offal: 20 days
Milk: zero hours.
Contraindications / Important cautions
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to the active substance or any excipient.
Do not use on animals with major skin lesions (product should only be administered onto undamaged skin).
Take care to avoid animal licking of the product; avoid use in extremely hot weather; follow operator safety precautions (protective clothing, avoid contact). Cases of resistance to deltamethrin in flies have been reported — avoid too frequent/repeated use of products of the same class and avoid underdosing.
